Revitalised houses in Płock
The project promotors turned an historic 19th century tenement house into a media centre and library that provides books, movies, music and other digital material to the habitants of Płock. The centre also offers educational programmes. The library is adapted to people who require special care with motor, vision and mental disorders.
A new sports area in Urszulin
The team behind this project transformed an undeveloped piece of land into a recreational and sports area. The area has a research and development centre and a training facility for Warsaw’s professional football club, Legia Warsaw.
Improving schools in Mińsk Mazowiecki
The primary school in an underdeveloped urban area will be modernised and expanded to include a kindergarten section for 200 children. The new building will be adapted to children with disabilities.
This investment fits in the concept of an ecological city with modern, energy-efficient public infrastructure.
About the European Structural and Investment Funds
Through the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESI Funds) financial instruments, the EU invests in local and regional projects that contribute to job creation and a sustainable and healthy European economy.
The European Regional Development Fund is one of the five available ESI Funds. It strengthens economic and social cohesion in the EU by correcting imbalances between regions.
Poland and the EIB
The EIB has worked with Poland since 1990. We modernised the Warsaw airport and repaired flood damage. We financed urban renewal in Katowice to reduce disparities in regional development, make the economy more competitive and improve people’s living standards.
