Summary
Despite the continuing impact of the pandemic, the EIB Group, consisting of the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Investment Fund (EIF), obtained a good result in Estonia 2021 again. Overall, some €348 million worth of investments between the European Investment Bank and its subsidiary the European Investment Fund benefitted companies and public institutions in the country. Major support went for public sector, healthcare, SMEs and innovation. A €120 million top-up of the EU funds co-financing facility was signed to support healthcare and civil protection during the COVID-19 pandemic.
