  • Continuing joint commitment in support of businesses: in 2016 more than 600 projects totalling around EUR 80m have been financed.

In recent days the Crédit Agricole Cariparma Group and the European Investment Bank (EIB) signed an agreement to make available EUR 100m intended for SMEs and midcaps, thereby continuing their cooperation and support for the Italian economy.

The credit lines opened by the Group will enable many SMEs (up to 250 employees) and midcaps (between 250 and 3 000 employees) to access finance on even more favourable terms thanks to the EIB's support.

The funds will be provided to businesses wishing to promote initiatives in the industrial, services, agriculture, tourism and climate change sectors or companies located in convergence regions – with a particular focus on the needs of the agrifood sector.

Thanks to its partnership with the EIB, the Crédit Agricole Cariparma Group is showing its commitment in support of the most dynamic SMEs and midcaps with an appetite for investment, so confirming a growing trend that has resulted in 2016 in the financing of more than 600 projects totalling some EUR 80m.
