President Hoyer took part in an exchange of views with the economic and monetary affairs (ECON) committee of the European Parliament on Monday, 26th January. The exchange took place in the context of Parliament's annual report on EIB activities. Discussion focused mainly on the EIB's role in implementing the Investment Plan for Europe and the European Fund for Strategic Investments.

Prior to the committee meeting, President Hoyer also met the President of the Committee of the Regions, Michel Lebrun. They agreed that the two institutions would strive to work closely together in its implementation.
