By letter dated 2 July 2009, the Republic of Slovenia nominated, by common accord with Bulgaria, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Malta, Poland and the Slovak Republic, Ms Mateja Dolinar (Undersecretary, International Finance Department, Ministry of Finance of Slovenia) for appointment as an Alternate Member of the Board of Directors following the resignation from the Board of Directors on 27 May 2009 of Mr Andrej Kavčič.

By letter dated 13 August 2009, the Board of Governors were invited to vote on the proposed appointment.

The decision to nominate Ms Mateja Dolinar was taken on 11 September 2009, the date on which the requisite majority of Governors' votes was reached.

The term of office of Ms Mateja Dolinar will expire in 2013, at the end of the day of the Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors during which the annual report, balance sheet and profit and loss account for the 2012 financial year are examined.
