By letter dated 1 July 2011, the Republic of Lithuania, by common accord with the Republic of Estonia, the Republic of Latvia, the Republic of Austria, the Republic of Finland and the Kingdom of Sweden, nominated Ms Jurgita Uzieliene (Deputy Director of the European Union and International Affairs Department in the Ministry of Finance) for appointment as Alternate Member of the Board of Directors following the resignation from the Board of Directors of Mr Andzs Übelis.

Following the written invitation, the Board of Governors voted on the proposed appointment.

The decision to nominate Ms Jurgita Uzieliene was taken on 12 August 2011, the date on which the requisite majority of Governors' votes was reached.

The term of office of Ms Jurgita Uzieliene will expire in 2013, at the end of the day of the Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors during which the annual report, balance sheet and profit and loss account for the 2012 financial year are examined.
