The next JESSICA Networking Platform will take place in Brussels on Tuesday, 8 June 2010. The platform aims to foster the implementation of the JESSICA initiative. It is addressed primarily to Managing Authorities already implementing or intending to implement JESSICA but it may also be open to other interested stakeholders.

The European Commission's Directorate General for Regional Policy, together with its partners in the JESSICA initiative, the European Investment Bank and the Council of Europe Development Bank, launched the JESSICA Networking Platform on 4 March 2009.

The aim of the platform is to foster the implementation of the JESSICA initiative and in this initial phase, three detailed objectives can be identified:

• Exchanging know-how and good practices about JESSICA;
• Increasing the knowledge of financial engineering instruments in the field of urban development;
• Monitoring the implementation of the initiative in Member States and regions.

The JESSICA Networking Platform is addressed primarily to Managing Authorities already implementing or intending to implement JESSICA but it may also be open to other interested stakeholders.
