On the basis of a nomination from the Republic of Slovenia, by common accord with the Republic of Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, the Republic of Cyprus, the Republic of Hungary, the Republic of Malta, the Republic of Poland and the Slovak Republic, the Board of Directors decided on 14 July 2010 to submit the candidature of Mr Anton Rop to the Board of Governors for the post of Vice-President and Member of the Management Committee, to succeed Ms Marta Gajęcka, who had tendered her resignation.

The written procedure inviting the Board of Governors to vote on this proposal was launched on 14 July 2010.

The decision to appoint Mr Anton Rop was taken on 27 July 2010, the date on which the requisite majority of votes was reached. Mr Anton Rop has therefore been appointed as Vice-President and Member of the Management Committee, taking up his post with effect from 18 August 2010.

The Board of Governors also conferred the title of Honorary Vice-President on Ms Marta Gajęcka.
