  • La Secretaría General se encarga de la aplicación y supervisión del proceso de toma de decisiones y proporciona servicios de secretaría a todos los órganos rectores del BEI. Define la estrategia institucional (que incluye el Plan de operaciones) y realiza análisis económicos sobre el impacto en el empleo y el crecimiento de las actividades del BEI y los posibles nuevos productos; y coordina y desarrolla las relaciones con las instituciones de la UE, las agencias de financiación del desarrollo internacionales y las organizaciones no gubernamentales. Se ocupa asimismo de la comunicación y la responsabilidad corporativa.
