About the Energy sector

In 2019, the EU adopted a comprehensive legal framework to deliver ambitious climate and energy targets for 2030, including further reducing greenhouse gas emissions, increasing energy efficiency and promoting the use of energy from renewable sources. The Bank’s energy lending policy sets out how the EIB can help support the EU in meeting this challenge. It represents a significant change in the Bank’s approach to the energy sector and an important input into the Bank’s overall climate strategy.

Leading a team of highly expert staff, making recommendations based on their specialist knowledge, you will help us make decisions so we continue to deliver on our mission.

Engineering and Technical Assistance (TA)

Assessing and monitoring projects from a technical perspective, advising both colleagues and external counterparts. You will also identify needs for technical assistance, prepare contract documentation and manage procurement processes. As a representative of the EIB, you will also maintain contact with promoters, public authorities and EU institutions, and play an important advisory role in the provision of pre-financing technical assistance services for the development of projects.
